Presentation showcases the stark remarkability of the vegetables we consume. As chefs, restaurant-goers, and food photographers all know, it is our eyes that take the first bite of a dish. In a photograph, you cannot taste the meal on your tongue... only imagine its flavour. But when we are shown just ingredients - the raw produce - is it just as appetizing? In Presentation, each image asks the viewer to imagine what the food, and the art, tastes like. Each vegetable is merely an unprepared ingredient to an unprepared dish - but when nature gifts us with crops that are as beautiful in the face as they are in flavour, we must celebrate the design (with both our eyes and our mouths).
