The design of a good restaurant has been perfected, and replicated, in every city in every country. But what makes a great restaurant? The food; hard to perfect, hard to replicate. Chipped Ceramics presents the restaurant experience with no menu, and no polish. Broken dishes cannot be replicated, or they are not broken. Whereas cuts on waiters' hands might indicate carelessness elsewhere, here it is expected. The photo series explores the design of restaurants far too familiar - lacking flavour and showing its cracks.
