In 2026, her work was internationally recognized at the World Food Photography Awards, where she was shortlisted nine times and selected as a finalist to showcase in London, England, at The Mall Galleries.
A third-generation image-maker, both Kate’s father and grandfather worked as photographers before her. In 195_, George Taeuschel immigrated from Austria and ran George Photographic Studios in downtown Toronto, until closing in 2001. His son Chico Taeuschel worked most of his early career with his father at the shop, and continued as a freelance photographer until retirement. Kate
